A governmental roundtable on the international Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) was organised by the Mission of Kenya in Pretoria (South Africa) on 22 September. A number of diplomats from countries across Africa attended, to learn more about the ATT initiative that Kenya is co-sponsoring at the UN General Assembly in October.

UK

'We live in fear' is a photo exhibition revealing how people in many of Brazil’s favelas live in fear of gun crime. Organised by Amnesty International - UK, the exhibition was launched on 21 September and will continue until 5 October.

Yemen

At Yemen's first ever celebration of the United Nations' International Day of Peace, delegates discussed ways to prevent small arms violence through outreach programmes and dialogue.
