Bahrain:
Million Faces Petition
The national Million Faces Petition was delivered to the House of Representatives and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 22 May by Amnesty International - Bahrain.
Book fair
To celebrate the 100 Day Countdown, campaigners in Bahrain ran a stall at the Bahrain International Book Fair, distributing leaflets and reports about armed violence, and collecting over 1100 signups to the Million Faces petition.
Iraq
Community campaigning
Campaigners collected supporters for the Control Arms campaign and organised a survey of public perceptions of gun violence. Click here for more details.

Campus activism
In Israel, volunteers are visiting universities and colleges during the 100 days, encouraging people to join Control Arms.
Jordan
Workshop

Morocco:
Stunt in Tangiers
In Morocco, Amnesty campaigners got together in Tangiers to perform a public stunt showing how weapons can destroy lives, as well as collecting faces for the Million Faces petition. Click here for more information.
Palestinian territories
Rahmallah: In Aboud village, 30 teachers and university students (male and female representing varied social and religious backgrounds) took part in a workshop where they discussed tolerance as a means for achieving community security. The workshop was also attended by the Irish Representative in Ramallah.

Public health lecture
Government officials, women federation members and other NGOs attended a workshop on 17 May, where Dr Ghassan Shahrour gave a lecture on public health and small arms. Click here to read the press release.
