Macedonia: Public outcry for action against gun violence

Public ourcry

Following the shooting in Skopje on 19 May that left three young people dead and three wounded, there were protests throughout the country against gun violence.

At least 15 non-governmental organisations in 14 cities across Macedonia supported the campaign for action against small arms, including NGO Support Centres and the citizen movement Zgjohu! Shkup (Wake up! Skopje).

IANSA member CIVIL had organised a poster campaign alongside the UN Development Programme (UNDP).
