From the 13-19 September Control Arms activists around the world will be participating in the Arms Trade Treaty Week of Action. International human rights law must be at the centre of an effective Arms Trade Treaty. With this in mind the Control Arms campaign is linking the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with our call for a resolution in the UN General Assembly, beginning with the United Nations General Assembly in October. With events taking part in over 50 countries and the number still growing, the call for a strong and effective ATT will be heard around the globe.
