New Resources

The Second Review Conference for the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons (UNPoA), is about to commence at the UN Headquarters in New York, 27th - 7th August, 2012.

Four international organisations and networks - Amnesty International, the IANSA Women's Network, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) and Religions for Peace - have united to support the inclusion of a gender criterion in the ATT.

The dedicated United Nations website on the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) negotiations went live on 7 June: www.un.org/disarmament/ATT/. This website serves as the primary information platform regarding the historic United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty, which will take place in New York from 2 to 27 July.

Accreditation and registration for the Review Conference on the PoA are now open. The Aide Mémoire for NGOs is available below.

This special edition of the IANSA UN Bulletin features summaries from sessions and side events during the Fourth session of the ATT Preparatory Committee (13-17 February 2012) and the Preparatory Committee for the Second PoA Review Conference (19-23 March 2012).
