7 ways to make the most
of your network.

The strength of IANSA is in its participants. Collectively, the network holds a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience. If we are to make progress to achieve our goals, we must support one another by sharing information and working together. Increasing interaction between participants will help us create more effective, coordinated actions that have greater impact. Here are seven ways your organisation can help IANSA become a stronger global network.

1           Inform IANSA well in advance of your activities

By informing the Secretariat of your upcoming meetings, press events, and campaign launches, you give us a chance to alert other network members and plan ways for us to bring attention to your work. Send a brief e-mail to coordinator@iansa.org

2           Report your recent activities to us for the IANSA website

Once your events have taken place, let us know the results. We can post a report on the IANSA website, www.iansa.org. The website is a great way for participants to stay up to date on what colleagues have been doing, and increase the solidarity across nations and continents. Submit items directly to communications@iansa.org and please include photographs and other graphics.

3           Submit articles for the IANSA newsletter

The IANSA newsletter is distributed to over 1,000 NGOs, funders, and policymakers worldwide, and posted on the IANSA website. When the call goes out for submissions, please respond with a news or feature article we might include. Please include photographs or other graphic elements, if possible. Send your submissions in English, French or Spanish to communications@iansa.org

4           Find out what is happening in your region

In this pack you will find contact information for the IANSA Steering Committee representatives and some other active participants in your region. Contact them to find out about events in your national and regional networks or to find those doing similar work. Send an email to coordinator@iansa.org

5           Join and make use of the IANSA participants’ list

Have you a question or success you would like to share with other IANSA members? The participants’ list is the way to do it. Take advantage of the breadth of knowledge of advocates from every continent by submitting your email address to contact@iansa.org

6           Tell other organisations about IANSA

Help IANSA continue to grow by telling other organisations about the network. Extra registration forms are included in this pack for that purpose.

7          Keep IANSA informed of changes in your contact information

The only way we can stay in contact with your organisation – and refer other participants and media to you – is if we have your correct contact details. When your contact information changes, please let us know as soon as possible at coordinator@iansa.org
