Full Members of IANSA are civil society organisations whose work includes action to stop firearm proliferation and misuse. They must sign and adhere to the Members’ Charter, and support the mission statement, values and current policy positions of IANSA and demonstrate that some of their activities further the mission.

Fundacio per la Pau

Fundació per la Pau, an IANSA member in Spain has launched an animation contest on the theme “We create peace day by day”.

On 31 October 2011, more than 200 women participated in vigils in 9 different towns in Western Georgia under the slogan “Let’s make efficient the UN Resolution 1325 for women, peace and security!".

Instituto Sou da Paz

In Brazil, IANSA member Instituto Sou da Paz teamed up with religious leaders in São Paulo for a campaign to promote civilian disarmament from 22–30 October.


The IANSA Women's Network and IANSA member Saferworld, as members of the Gender Action for Peace and Security UK (GAPS), have submitted their input to a new UK National Action Plan (NAP) on women, peace and security for 2011.

The Regional Centre on Small Arms (RECSA) Council of Ministers (COM) met in Djibouti on 17 and 18 October to discuss the proliferation of small arms in the Great Lakes Region and Horn of Africa.
