Full Members of IANSA are civil society organisations whose work includes action to stop firearm proliferation and misuse. They must sign and adhere to the Members’ Charter, and support the mission statement, values and current policy positions of IANSA and demonstrate that some of their activities further the mission.

Gun Free South Africa

Gun Free South Africa has been awarded the prestigious Loerie Awards for its ‘Umshini Wakho’ campaign, part of a project exploring how to use mass media in the work to reduce gun violence. An inspiring video about the campaign is available on the IANSA Youtube channel.
 

1500 locally produced firearms have been destroyed in Asuki, Ghana.

Viva Rio

The Brazilian Minister of Justice has signed an agreement with IANSA member Viva Rio, establishing their disarmament campaign as a permanent state policy.

IANSA woman, Binalakshmi Nepram of Control Arms Foundation of India (CAFI) and Manipur Women Gun Survivors Network, has been awarded the Sean MacBride Peace Prize for 2010.
