Small-arms sales criticized at U.N.

(COX NEWS SERVICE) Most of the world's governments are failing to adequately monitor illegal arms sales, according to the International Action Network on Small Arms.

Guns smuggled from the United States to Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America are a "significant problem," especially because the United States supplies most of the world's weaponry, says a report distributed yesterday at a United Nations conference in New York.
