Cote d’Ivoire: Gun-free elections campaign

The campaign “Elections without Gun Violence” was launched last week in Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire) at the new headquarters of the National Commission on small arms. The campaign runs from January to March and includes advocacy visits to government officials, workshops and meetings with youth, ex-combatants and armed groups. Michele Pepe, president of the Cote d’Ivoire Action Network on Small Arms (RASALAO), reports that several media outlets attended the event. The campaign will be implemented in collaboration with RASALAO, ECOSAP, UNDP and the government of Japan. More
