WILPF launches African Women’s Decade

The Women International League for Peace and Freedom launched the 2010-2020 African Women decade on the 31st July in London. The event was hosted by the Centre for Gender Studies at the London School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS), University of London. More than 50 people attended the event, most of them Diaspora African women. Among the themes was the Maputo Protocol to the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa.
