Global Day of Action Against Military Spending in India

The Control Arms Foundation of India (CAFI) and the Manipur Women Gun Survivors Network observed the Global Day of Action Against Military Spending on 12 April with a drumming event and vigil in New Delhi, India. They also submitted their demands to the Indian Prime Minister and members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence, for the government to cut military expenditure and instead spend funds towards providing social security, support the UN process for an ATT, and ensure the inclusion of women in peace, security and disarmament issues.
