Armed conflict: 12,200 civilians killed in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Somalia in 2010

At least 12,200 civilians died in Iraq, in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Somalia in 2010 as a direct result of armed conflict, according to a new report by Oxfam. It reviews the impact of 18 different armed conflicts around the world, and explores the response of the UN Security Council to protecting civilians in these conflicts.
