DR Congo: IANSA members in local media success

In DR Congo, UCOPASUKI featured in an interview on Radio Okapi to talk about the importance of the Kinshasa Convention and national gun laws. They also spoke about survivors of armed violence, a topic that received a particularly good response from listeners. They also hosted a media conference on the TV and radio network TUUNGANE which was so successful that UCOPASUKI was invited to participate in another program in Swahili, which is spoken by the majority of the people in the region. In partnership with IANSA members AVREO and FOMEKA, they also organised a people's consultation on the Kinshasa Convention and a petition demanding that the government ratify the agreement.
