Rwanda: Day of campaigning against stigma associated with sexual veiolence

Bethesaida, in partnership with Baho Mission and Action to Protect Children and Their Environment held a day of campaigning against armed violence in the district of Musanze in the Northern Province of Rwanda. It focused especially on survivors of armed violence, particularly women and young mothers. The campaign aimed to overcome the taboo associated with denouncing perpetrators of rape at gunpoint, and diminishing the fear, shame and inferiority complex that survivors often feel. The day ended with a march against armed violence in the neighborhood of Gahombye in the District of Musanze.
