Campaigners manned a boat during the three-day National Water Festival (4-6 November 2006) in Phnom Penh (Cambodia). Organised by the Working Group for Weapons Reduction (WGWR), the boat displayed banners thanking the Cambodian government and people on behalf of the Control Arms campaign.
Cambodia co-sponsored and supported the resolution starting a process for an Arms Trade Treaty at the First Committee of the UN General Assembly in October 2006.
The banners read: "Thanks to Cambodian people for supporting the Control Arms Campaign! Congratulations to the Cambodian Government for supporting the Arms Trade Treaty."
