Training teachers on child soldiers in Sudan

60 Sudanese teachers have been trained on the protection of children from human rights violations and war, so that they can present lectures at their schools to raise awareness among students on the prevention of child recruitment. The workshops were conducted by MAMAN, the Human Security Initiative Organisation.

Workshops were organised in the period of 21-23 October and 27-29 October in Nyala, as well as a workshop from 2-3 November at the Ahumaira primary school in Mayo district (Khartoum).

The workshops come in the framework of “Stop child soldiers project” funded by the European Union Mission in the Sudan.
