Macedonian women parliamentarians support the Control Arms Campaign

More than half of the women deputies in Macedonia joined the Million Faces petition.

Journalists for Children and Women's Rights and Protection of the Environment (JCWE) organised an open day on International Women's Day (8 March)in the Macedonian Assembly where government officials will sign a petition. Following this there was a march from the Assembly into the centre of town.

Before this event, JCWE held a press conference to present the latest research on gun violence and women in Macedonia. They also presented the IANSA Women's Network fact sheets on women and gun violence.

The event was covered in the daily news and 5 national TV stations, 3 Macedonian-language radio stations and 2 Albanian-language radio stations.
