Governments will meet at the United Nations in New York, USA, 14-18 July to review progress on the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms.

Throughout October 2007, governments attended the First Committee, which proposes and adopts resolutions on disarmament and international security. The meeting adopted several resolutions on small arms control.

Throughout October 2006, governments attended the First Committee, which proposes and adopts resolutions on disarmament and international security. In addition to a range of reslutions on small ams, the meeting also adopted a resolution developing an Ams Trade Treaty.
