IANSA at the UN Small Arms Review Conference

Charles Nasibu Bilali
Charles Nasibu Bilali (Congolese Disarmament Network, RECAAL) addressing the RevCon on the impact of illicit small arms transfers.

IANSA members from more than 70 countries travelled to New York (US) to support the UN Small Arms Review Conference. IN addition to raising awareness of the meeting through the Control Arms campaign, activists engaged in advocacy with their government delegates, providing regular information and advice during the meeting.

Some of the reports and briefings published by civil society during the meeting are available in the right.

IANSA also prepared a conference newsletter every two days.

Civil society could not participate in the conference, and instead gave a series of presentation on 30 June:
