Cote d’Ivoire: IANSA woman speaks to 800 army recruits

Michele Pepe of the West Africa Action Network on Small Arms (WAANSA) and UNIFEM spoke to an assembly of more than 800 army recruits at a meeting in Cote d’Ivoire on 6 October. The National Commission on Small Arms organised the meeting to raise awareness about gun violence among the recruits whose role is to maintain security during presidential elections scheduled for 31 October.
