Debate on firearms law: the Bolivian case

IANSA members in the Dominican Republic, the Instituto Caribeño para el Estado de Derecho (ICED) in cooperation with UNDP organised a debate in parliament focusing on the experience of Bolivia in developing a law to control and regulate firearms. This builds on the project to develop, promote and implement laws on firearms, ammunition and related materials elaborated by Swedish Fellowship for Reconciliation(Swefor). Bolivian expert Juan Jose Lima shared his experience with participants from the private security sector, armed forces, the Ministry of the Interior, police, and the media.
