Central Africa: Kinshasa Convention signed on 19 November

On 19 November, Central African States signed the Central Africa Convention on small arms control, known as the ‘Kinshasa Convention’. The Central African Action Network on Small Arms (CAANSA/RASALAC) said, “The signing of this legal instrument is a major step in the regulation of small arms and light weapons in Central Africa. CAANSA commits to playing its role in the implementation of the Convention alongside States and their partners for peacebuilding”. More
