2007: The Seventh Anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325
WN members around the world are marking the seventh anniversary of 1325 during October 2007 in the following ways:
Burundi
Réseau des Femmes pour un Développement Associatif (RFDA)
Seminar on conflict transformation and the promotion of women and peace. Awareness raising activities will include talks, folk dancing and sports.
Dagropass Amagaranikindi
Awareness raising of UN SCR 1325 in Bubanza Province.
DR Congo
PAIF - Promotion et appui aux initiatives feminines
Goma - A workshop will take place to discuss ways in which women can become involved in the management/administration of local customary and administrative entities in order to prepare them for public office at a higher level.
RODHECIC
Activities will include: training sessions on masculinity and gender roles, and domestic violence; a study on Article 4 of CEDAW in relation to women's political representation; a public awareness campaign on the law on sexual violence; and a continued campaign against impunity.

National campaign
21 September (International Day for Peace) to 31 October (the anniversary of UN SCR 1325)
The Campaign will lobby government to ratify and implement Resolution 1325. Postcards will be signed and sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Campaign will end on 31 October and a meeting will be held with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
