16 days of activism against gender violence
International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

25 November is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Women are at risk from guns in the home and suffer sexual violence at gunpoint. Women are also prominently involved in campaigns to stop gun violence, and play vital roles in peace building and disarmament initiatives.

The above animation has been developed by the Women Under Fire campaign on the impact of guns on women’s lives. Besides English, it is also available in five other languages:

Français, Español, العَرَبِيَّة, Japanese and Português.
